Are You Professionally Negligent Regarding Feedback?

In an article published in Aug 2019, a survey indicated that skill development was one of the top three concerns of CEOs. Successful managers must recognize this pain point and ensure they are continually developing everyone’s skills (including their own).

Feedback plays two big parts of this.

  1. Using your field of vision in the company to recognize and share with your team the skills that will be needed.

  2. Holding employees accountable skill development (don’t let them put it on the back burner).

Skill development isn’t a “nice to have”, it is a critical part of company success and employee engagement. It is professional negligence if you are not enhancing your skills and providing feedback to your team on their skill development efforts.
