This is one of those books that isn't a business book, but is entertaining and provides some interesting observations that everyone can use. The book details the journey of the author from someone who never played poker to someone playing at the highest levels (and having success).
The journey is filled with great stories and keeps you reading. Yet, the things she learns are amazing. She thinks that poker is all about odds and numbers. Yet, she learns that is the easy part. The ability to really focus and pay attention to everything, to know yourself better than you think you do, and being able to shift and change based on the environment.
It really is something every manager could learn.
